Films: The Magic Serpent (1966)
Alias: Orochimaru, Ikazuchi "Jiraiya" Maru, Dohin Haki, Celestial Spider
Type: Mystical
Location: Civilized Area
Height/Weight: That of large buildings.
Affiliation: Evil (Orochimaru), Good
Summary: It's a film about dueling ninjas who transform into daikaiju occasionally to throw punches. Do we need to say more?
History: In this corner, we have the young, dedicated ninja-in-training, Jiraiya. On the other, we have the more experienced and destructive villain, Orochimaru. One can transform into a toad-monster, while the other turns into a bastardization of a dragon. He who is left standing will decide the fate of Japan itself!
Notable Kills: See Final Fate.
Final Fate: With the aid of a celestial giant spider, Jiraiya forces Orochimaru into turning back into a human. He is then killed by a human Jiraiya.
Powers/Abilities: Orochimaru can transform into a giant water-shooting dragon, Jiraiya can transform into a fire-breathing toad monster, Haki can turn into a giant hawk, and the spider can shoot lots of sticky web.
Weakness: Each other.
Scariness Factor: 3.5-It's only Orochimaru you have to worry about. Everyone else is dedicated to justice. Now if only the props looked a little less floppy.
Trivia: -This film is loosely based off the Japanese folk tale, "The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya".
-In the original story, Jiraiya doesn't turn into a toad, but he loves them, and even rides on really big ones into adventure.
